NADIA VALDEZ, ARTISTIC DIRECTOR AND OWNER

An accomplished instructor and choreographer, Nadia began to develop a passion for dance at a very young age. She was a dance student of Doria Avila for 14 years before she began to utilize her talent and became a dance instructor at the Deborah Case Dance Academy and with Professor Guillermo Berrocal Garcia of Reynosa, which she did for 5 years. Due to her dedication and gifted skills, Nadia has had the privilege to train with many professional and experienced instructors such as Paula Abdul, Chris Judd, and Patsy Swayze. Nadia has also furthered her dance instruction by attending Steps on Broadway Dance Studio in New York City.

Nadia has performed numerous productions including The Nutcracker, Ballet Fiesta Mexicana, Ballet Fiesta Español and La Bayadare. She has worked with popular groups to choreograph their concerts and tour shows such as Grupo Control, Los Kumbia Kings, Grupo La Onda and her father’s renowned Tejano group Romance. Additionally, she traveled to Los Angeles to choreograph as well as appear in the norteno group La Onda’s music video, “Que Nadie Sepa Mi Sufrir.”

Furthermore, Nadia has done choreography for the opening dances for pageants such as the Miss Texas Belleza Latina Pageant and Miss International SPI and other local pageants. Outside from the music industry, her experience in drill team and dance competition has brought her artistry of choreography into local school districts throughout the valley and has allowed her to share her expertise in one of a kind and very unique quinceanera and wedding choreography, as well. Aside from choreography, Nadia has a reputation for her overall knowledge in the Arts. She was a judge on the popular Marcos Valdez Show, and she also judged pageants like the Queens of Zapata.

Miss Nadia has a long list of accomplishments, awards and recognitions. Above that, she has been designated as the best choreographer by several dance organizations throughout Texas. Most recently, she was acknowledged by the Edinburg Fire Department for her commitment to the annual community event Fire Prevention Fest. She is also very involved with the Edinburg Crime Stoppers and their annual community event National Night Out.

With all her involvement, she still has been able to direct her own personal dance studio for 16 years and has had the pleasure to have produced 9 Anastasia Productions and 16 Spring Spectacular Shows. Nadia looks forward to continuing to provide her expertise in expanding the arts for individuals internationally.
